Luke, please don't get me wrong, I am very glad to see an nsswitch.  The
whole defaults thing that I supported was only to avoid One More Pitfall for
upgrading systems.  (We have enough of them already.  :)

Okay, that looks fine.  But shouldn't passwd read `compat files'?  (That's
how I read the manual page's description of the sources.)
