Documentation is like software except you mainly use it to train people.

The best way to improve documentation is to attempt to use it, and send
bug reports; and I don't mean corrections.

    - good questions mean that the doc has a bug.
    - RTFM questions mean that the index has a bug, or at least could be
richer (by using formats other than the traditional keyword/pagenums).

Obviously this glosses over a lot, but at work I've seen a lot of people
(including me!) be repeatedly blind to the difficulty of generating docs
out of thin air for their own work. It really helps to have an unfamiliar
brain make the same journey and flush out the "obvious" things that aren't.
