Hi,

A Happy New Year to All!

I just got this cool thin B5 notebook PC and trying to set up NetBSD
on it. I'm using the latest i386 snapshot.

Installing and running NetBSD were no problem, but to get XFree86 to
run on it, I needed some help from other people already running
XFree86, albeit all of them running FreeBSD, not NetBSD.

Anyway, now the XF86_SVGA server starts up and I can see the screen,
but the pointing device doesn't work. In boot message, I get:

> pms0 at pc0 irq 12

and XF86Config file's "Pointer" section looks like:

> Section "Pointer"
> Protocol "PS/2"
> Device "/dev/pms0"
> Emulate3Buttons
> Emulate3Timeout 50
> EndSection

When I try to move the pointer, it jumps all over the screen (mostly
within the left half) and fvwm menus pop up and close even though I'm
not touching the buttons. If I press a button, the pointer jumps.

Is anybody running NetBSD on a 3010 and has seen such a problem? If
so, how can I get it to work?

BTW, I've attached the entire boot message just in case anyone's
interested.

Thanks,

Ken
