Isn't SmartMedia the little tiny one?  I've seen CF adapters for it,
and presumably you could get a CF-PCMCIA adapter, and that would work too.

I can't speak for CF-adapted SmartMedia, but I can say that CF cards seem
to work fine between Psion 5, Mac laptop, and other toys just fine.

Actually saves a lot of cable-time for the Psion.  ;)
