Yow, this is *huge*.  Here's what I see onna busy server:

        165298748 packets received
                1635 discarded for bad checksums

If these are on the same net, perhaps this is a wiring problem?
I know lots of folks have talked about systems having trouble
auto-negotiating duplex on Fast Ethernet....
