Hi,
with -current libc versions 12.33 and 12.34, XEmacs 20.4 dumps core
during startup on mac68k with
Lisp backtrace follows:
# (unwind-protect ...)
# (unwind-protect ...)
valid-instantiator-p("Red3" color)
# bind (how-to-add tag-set locale value specifier)
set-specifier(#<color-specifier global=<unspecified> fallback=#<color-specifier global=<unspecified> fallback=(... ...) 0x175> 0x1d1> "Red3" global x append)
# bind (how-to-add tag-set locale value property face)
set-face-property(text-cursor background "Red3" global x append)
# bind (how-to-add tag-set locale color face)
set-face-background(text-cursor "Red3" global x append)
# bind (rp bp dp hp stp ulp bgp bg fg fn name face-sym append set-anyway locale face)
x-init-face-from-resources(text-cursor global)
# bind (devtype locale face)
init-face-from-resources(text-cursor global)
# bind (face G36696)
init-global-faces()
# (unwind-protect ...)
# (unwind-protect ...)
make-device(x nil)
# bind (display)
make-x-device(nil)
init-x-win()
# bind (debugger debug-on-error command-line-args-left)
command-line()
# (unwind-protect ...)
normal-top-level()
# (condition-case ... . error)
# (catch top-level ...)
Segmentation fault - core dumped
(gdb says nothing helpful on the core dump)
-- while it runs just fine with
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 404552 Sep 6 09:52 libc.so.12.31
Has anybody else seen this? I could simply rebuild XEmacs, but that's
a lengthy task and it could just as well leave me with an editor
referencing a hosed libc version... so I thought I'd ask, first.
