I have an alpha system (axppci33) currently running 1.3H and much is well...

I have noticed problems (panics) when trying to print to the local printer
on lpt0.

I am looking for a safer bet that will let me use IPFilter (must be > 1.3.2
then).

Whats the best way to go?  The 10/16/98 snapshot for alpha or -current?

Also if I get the snapshot where might I find the source to that snap shot
since
I have a local patch or two to apply to the kernel for my devices?
