The "right" solution is to have the X server tell wscons what the
geometry of the screen is so that it can write character bitmaps to
the screen while in graphics mode.  There's nothing more frustrating
than trying to debug a panic that happens when you have an X server
running...   Well, perhaps I exaggerate, but it _is_ frustrating.   :')
