It's unlikely that the Solaris JDK will work for quite some time if ever
since they use native threads and we don't support that (yet).
You can grab a native 1.1.6 JDK from:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/java/i386/1.1.6/jdk116-beta2.tgz
A beta3 version will be out shortly that has a relatively minor window
positioning bugfix. Once the source for 1.2 becomes available, we will
have a native port.
