Either is OK, and systems should work with either. Note the '-s'
option NetBSD's hostname -- FQDN is certainly OK. This is the way
I prefer to set my hosts up.
Memory tells me of systems where not using the FQDN was preferable;
I believe in each case this was a software limitation in applications.
