Userland is, AFAIK, all the src code not belonging to the kernel.

Yes. Try www.netbsd.org and see if you can find more information
on the installtion of a complete NetBSD environment. If you are not
successful, feel free to come back to this list and mail some complaints
for missing documentation :-)
