Nonsense. Quotas were developed in a BSD environment, trust me, I know...
If a group leaves a directory writeable to others it must expect its group
quota to be consumed by whoever write on it, just as if users leave files
writeable to others they must expect their user quota to be consumed by
whoever writes on them.
