Well, I'm sitting here breaking out into a cold sweat...The full impact of
what has happened here is moments away, I'm sure. To make a long story short:
I su'd to root in my home directory, typed pkg_add to install a large pkg...it
ran out of space in /tmp, said it was "cleaning up". Next thing I know, it
removed the entire contents of my home directory. Not recently backed up, well
over 3gb worth of stuff. Some useless, some precious...all gone.
I respectfully request that the appropriate folks take a look at the "cleaning
up" code in pkg_add. I'm completely fucked here...personal stuff, business
stuff, dozens of megabytes of email, todo lists...I'd hate for this to happen
to someone else.
