Having too many assorted problems, I think I was too far out of step. Now,
here's the big question...

Is there anyone with the latest (working!) -current who would be willing to
tar up the /bin, /usr/bin, /lib, /include, /usr/sbin, /usr/share,
/usr/libexec and /sbin directories and whatever else I might need (I've got
a working kernel at least!) and allow me to download them?

I know it is probably asking a lot, but I seem to be going in an endless
loop trying to get one thing to compile so another will and chasing my
tail...
