I agree 100% here... Personally, I tend to prefer GPL-style licensing to
Berkeley-style licensing, but I prefer NetBSD because of both its heritage
and because I see it as being technically better. The lack of SMP and MP
as a whole seems unfortunate, especially when FreeBSD has it in some form.

Speaking of which... Can someone who's familiar with FreeBSD's implementation
of SMP comment how how relevant it would be to us? I don't know if it's bound
too tightly to the Intel architecture or not, but it would seem to make sense
to leverage the work, if it's worthwhile.
