  Yes, it would be nice.

  Better would be to be able to take the GENERIC kernel, and
store an abstract "yes/no" for each line.
  I've finally learnt that I should copy GENERIC and then comment
out the things I don't want. Deleting the line just makes diff'ing
harder when GENERIC changes.
