So at the very least, you should be able to persuade it to
boot the netbsd boot rom even if you can't persuade it to boot netbsd :-)

of course, then you need to add ne2k support to the netbsd boot rom,
back to (nearly) square one (apart from needing to buy an eprom burner ;-)
