I'm also using the BSDI 1.1 version of Navigator 4.04 on NetBSD 1.3.
It's somewhat more stable than Nav 4.04 on SunOS 4.1.4. In both cases,
sometimes, a problem with window focus develops. This may be caused by
my use of fvwm 1.24r, which gives me the mwm look without looking like
something from Redmond, Washington.
