does anyone use cpio(1)?  i have a patch for our pax(1) to make it work
as cpio (with at least x/open sematics, but not all extensions in eg,
SVR4 or GNU cpio) by hard linking to `cpio' from `pax' that works for me.

if anyone actually uses cpio, or would otherwise like to test the changes,
ftp.netbsd.org:/pub/incoming/mrg/pax-as-cpio.diff has the patch.


please let me know positive *and* negative reports :)
