I have heard in the past that people have offered to maintain the Netbsd
website but have been turned away because of past failures of follow
through. I have taken the links from the netbsd website and made a mock
up of a lynx friendly non-frame more colorful site. A lot of the links
and inline images (under the mailing list subscription page) are not there
but most of the site has been changed (the layout, not content).

The current setup uses a new logo that users of NetBSD seemed to like when
it was presented. The logo was done by Tom Thai (tomthai@future.net). I
felt this logo best represented the OS. I am using text menu links for
the site to allow for lynx compatibility. Also, the menu links are
constant throughout the site to provide better navigation!

My goal on this personal project was to get the permission to do the
NetBSD web site and maintain it. I use NetBSD on all my machines and
co-admin/own a server with Todd Vierling that utilizes NetBSD for all our
websites and more...

I am open for comment and hope that this generates discussion and
hopefully allow me the priviledge of maintaining the Official website. At,
worst my site will remain as a partial mirror with kernel hacks and
more...

well enough already the site address is: http://netbsd.duh.org

thanks,
