I upgraded, rebuilt, tried again, rebuilt, same results.
I then noticed that only com3-6 were broken. They are on an AST card.
When I updated my kernel config file, I neglected to account for the
fact my AST 4-port card is on IRQ 2 instead of 5. What is strange is that
anything worked at all...
I know why it worked: ep0 is on IRQ5, and the system was happy to poll two
devices on every network interrupt! I wish there was some way to diagnose
this easier. Shouldn't I have seen spurious interupts on IRQ 9?
