Actually, there have been several IPv6 implementations floating
around for various OSs for at least a year. I played with a drop-in
IPv6 stack (from INRIA I think) for NetBSD quite a while ago. It's
pretty well-defined.
I think the original question is if one of those existing stacks,
which most likely support NetBSD 1.2 or older, would be easily hacked
to drop into a more recent NetBSD.
