Eep, 2k? The bootblock is only 512 bytes... and is your sd0 dedicated to
NetBSD or something? On my machine, the beginning of /dev/sd0d is the MBR
and partition table, not the NetBSD bootblock. What I did was: 

dd if=/dev/rsd0a of=bootsect.bsd bs=512 count=1

Then copied bootsect.bsd over to drive C: and added
c:\bootsect.bsd="NetBSD" to my boot.ini.
