Hmm, it's standard behaviour of mount(8) that it allows to specify filesystem
specific options in the fourth field in /etc/fstab.  I.e. try the following
in your /etc/fstab:

/dev/cd0a	/cdrom		cd9660		ro,-g

or some such.
