After installing the 19971109 sparc snapshot, I'm getting the following:

# vi
ex/vi: Error: unknown: No such file or directory

any ideas? The only thing that I haven't been able to put into place fully 
is /sbin/init since the machine was running when I unpacked the tarballs.
