Don't know if it is a related problem but on the same chipset at 10Mb/sec
I get lots of these:

Sep 23 13:30:18 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: alignment error
Sep 23 13:52:20 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: alignment error
Sep 23 15:08:29 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: alignment error
Sep 23 16:10:06 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: alignment error
Sep 23 17:05:43 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: bad crc
Sep 23 18:33:53 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: bad crc
Sep 23 18:46:24 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: alignment error
Sep 23 19:05:57 masada /netbsd: de1: receive: 00:00:0c:92:1d:b6: bad crc

I just had to reboot my gateway because this was our Internet link and
it stopped working. I still see the errors but it seems to be staying
up. Notice that it doesn't happen very often. The above 8 errors were
spread over 6 hours. When it went down, ifconfig showed it still up but
packets would not go out that interface.

I was going to update the kernel on that system. Would that be a good
idea at this point or should I wait to see what changes come from these
reports?
