Until this month, I would have suggested helping with the NetBSD/PowerPC
port, and get real performance at commodity prices, on quality hardware.
Alas, Steve Jobs and Apple seem determined not merely to crash, but to
actually crater - they're at full power with afterburners, straight to the
ground. (sigh)

Seems SPARC or Alpha is the way to be. Time to take a peek at the
SPARC/Linux for UltraSPARC. I just wish the prices for SPARC-based hardware
weren't triple what they oughta be.
