It may very well make sense to disable memory space mappings on some
architectures behind some specific PPBs. all of the machinery to do
that is there now.
However, on some alphas, devices behind bridges don't have all of
their space-types' mapping registers set up (e.g. I/O isn't set up
behind a PPB), so it's not clear how well this can be done...
