I'm not entirely thrilled with CAM- it's short for 'COMMON ACCESS
METHOD'- it *is* a standard, and DEC is the only manufacturer to have
embraced it. I was involved indirectly with some of the specification
of it about 7 years ago. You can find out more about it at

Unless there is a plan to merge the FreeBSD && NetBSD SCSI code,
it won't necessarily drive your host adapter any better than you
currently have.
