I was asking gibbs@ about the driver for a SCSI card I have, currently
not supported as a PCI card by anyone, and he said he may be doing this
through the "CAM" thingie, which is apparently a spec which would be
a new SCSI layer for FreeBSD.

Is this neat work? Do we want to cooperate, or perhaps try to derive
something from it? I have some interest in it, because it would potentially
yield a driver for a PCI SCSI card I have, which is otherwise useless.

If there's interest in having this, I might be able to contribute towards
it, perhaps by donating money to help support a porting effort.

Obviously, this has the potential to add a lot of work on a lot of
platforms, but, if it's a good layer, it might be worth it.

I know next to nothing about any of this, it just sounds cool to me. :)
