I can't seem to use syslog in a chrooted environment. I have enough shared
libraries in there that logger doesn't complain yet no output. I assumed
that it was missing the /dev/log device so I null-mounted /dev on the
chrooted dev directory. Still nothing. In any case, I worry about the
idea of having my whole dev directory in a chrooted directory since the
idea is to make fewer things available in that environment.

If I can get it working this way I'll look at adding an option to syslogd
to allow it to open multiple sockets and select on them all but first I
need to make this work. Any ideas?
