Disable sync negotiation. Disable disconnect/reselect. Does it work OK
under either or both of these combinations?

The 3393 is a quirky chip, and lots of devices tickle it in funny ways.
Sync and reselect make things worse.

An old Quantum ProDrive 105S that works great under AmigaOS locks my bus
hard unless I disable sync and reselect.
