What was the machine doing? This can happen on busy servers with the
default value...
try setting:
options NMBCLUSTERS=xxx
...where xxx is ome number... by default, on i386, it's 256 (or 512 with
GATEWAY) ... I use 4096 on one of my busiest servers (a P6 with 128M of
RAM).
