Would be someone so kind and close lib/3692 ? The "fix" I've written
there is rather silly and ugly. The code is ready to work using
locales, so there is no need to carve support for ISO-8859-X charsets
to stone (furthermore, the patch breaks things for people using
meta chars and I've not considered it in report).
