We are running 1.2.1 and I am just ordering a batch of P6 machines with SMC10/100.

What is the easiest way of getting support for the newer revision of
the chip?

How can I tell if its in the 1.2D snapshot? - If I go for
the snapshot is it possible to rebuild the kernel to tweek
MAXMEMORY,NMBCLUSTERS etc.

If I need to goto -current what is the easiest way to do this? In the
past I have downloaded all the source and rebuilt everything but it
was a slow and fairly painful process.

Would I be better off to avoid the issue and use a different 100BaseT board?

Many Thanks

Tim Janes.
