There is a program for SunOS (and I think it works under Solaris) called
"scsiping"; it can tell you all the information that is in the device's
internal mode pages.
There was also a report in here about a program in FreeBSD called "scsi"
that allows you to manipulate the settings in the mode pages.
It would be nice if both these programs worked under NetBSD...
