    I have a few ppro machines with AIC7880 based cards (2940UW,
3940UW) and a few seagate ST34371W hanging off of them (in some cases,
the disks are the only thing on the bus).

    If I jumper any of the wide disks to use addresses 8 or above,
they slow down to use 10mhz transfers.  Any one have any clue why?
linux's aic drive claims its talking 20mhz to these disks.
