It may just a routing loop where all the machines involved are not
agreed on the best way to route packets. How are you updating your
routing tables? Via routed (alternatively, is routed just running)?
If you are then it is very easy for the routing to be confused when
you have multiple paths. If you can, try making the routing static
and kill off routed and see what happens.
