I was going through one of the trade rags today and noticed that Gateway
2000 (our local computer manufacturer) has bid to buy the Amiga stuff
from the recently bankrupted parent company that bought it after its
first parent company want bankrupt.

This is only of peripheral interest to current-users, except:

- Recently DEC decided to use NetBSD for it's ARM32 machine.

- Gateway has always been willing to try new things.

- If Gateway buys Amiga, they could use a good operating system to
load on it..... Rumor has it they are looking to get into the hand-held
market and this would be an easy way to get there.

- They might be interested in an optional operating system they could
load on ALL the hardware they sell, thereby increasing their margin if
the cost were low enough.

Just thought I'd imply for a minute.
