I did a 'make build' yesterday, and now rsh is broken. I
traced it to the fact that /usr/bin/rsh used to be setuid-root,
and now it is not setuid, and is owned by bin instead. Is this a
bug or a feature? Unfortunately, without setuid rsh, rsh's fail
even though the corresponding rlogin succeeds.
Here are the appropriate ident strings:
>From a working rsh:
/usr/bin/rsh:
$NetBSD: crt0.c,v 1.24 1996/12/07 23:31:07 mycroft Exp $
$NetBSD: rsh.c,v 1.4 1997/01/09 20:21:15 tls Exp $
>From a nonworking rsh:
rsh:
$NetBSD: crt0.c,v 1.24 1996/12/07 23:31:07 mycroft Exp $
$NetBSD: rsh.c,v 1.5 1997/02/16 15:01:05 mrg Exp $
Thanks in advance.
Brian
