...So, the way Sun "solved" this is to put the devfs on /devices, and
make /dev into a symlink farm. Under Solaris, the symlinks themselves
have permissions, whereas permission of a symlink follows that of
the real object at the end of the symlink chain in BSD.
Needless to say, I don't particularly like how Sun did that...
