I certainly hope not, since:
(1) it's used by the alpha, arm32, atari, pc532, and sun3
ports,
(2) it's existed since revision 1.1 of the file, and
(3) if i'd picked the name, it'd have been "RAMDISK_ROOT", so
that it's be a bit more obvious what was going on, because
as far as i know, it's not ever used except to set up
root ramdisk file systems.
