Trying to figure out how IP-Aliasing for network interfaces works, I
failed...
I have a (virtual) machine called "wwwtest", which is listed in my own
nameserver and which has an own IP-Number.
Now I would like to host this server on my regular "www" server using
the alias option of ipconfig. It doesnt seem to work for me.
ifconfig ed2 alias wwwtest.fqdn.de
-does not show any error but a "ping wwwtest" returns "no route to host"
(Sorry, this may be offtopic, as I am still using 1.1 (never change a running
horse), but I couldn't find a better group, as every Unix seems to
have it own solution for IP-aliasing)
