Subject: Getting fresh .depend files

Yesterday after a fresh sup I had errors of not being
able to make /usr/include/machine/exec.h .
I had done a "make includes ; make clean ; make depend ; make "
In fact the file seems no longer to be used.
However, several ".depend" files in the tree
still had it, even after a make clean; make depend
But "make clean" doesn't remove the .depend file,
and I suspect the make depend failed and left the
old ".depend" behind.
Question: Is there a heavy duty "make clean" variation
that removes .depend files?
Thanks, Clarence Wilkerson
