Its not the CCD. The CCD is pretty good, damn brilliant IMO, its in
general the NetBSD SCSI drivers and subsystem, which are in need 
of an overhaul. I'm hacking at the aic7xxx driver so that it works
better with low memory cards like the 2940UA, but work needs done
on the SCSI subsystem itself so that things like >7 targets work.

If there is enough interest maybe we could set up a subgroup for
SCSI issues and get FreeBSD, OpenBSD and BSDi involved, and indeed
anyone else that wants to join. Then we could all have the same OS independant
SCSI code, which might be a bit of a dream but it would make porting and 
tracking future changes to drivers, and indeed new drivers much easier. It
seems insane to be re-inventing the wheel 3 times.

I can set up bsd-scsi@domino.org if there is enough interest?
