Oops, RTF[ine]M error, I see. :-(((  But why does inetd report the "address
already in use" until I reboot?  Is this a bug or a way to "stop the service"?
This is annoying because we have to reboot the system to make it usable
again. :-I

Well, I'll adjust the limit - thanks for pointing the answer to me!
