FWIW, I have am using the PR 1903 patch with BUFCACHE set to 15% right
now, on a 64MB machine. This is with current as of about a week ago.
I was not able to boot a machine I made a kernel for with 25% buffer
cache (news server, can you tell? :-). But it may have been for other
reasons -- I handed over the hard drive, said "good luck", and didn't
investigage further.
