Every now and then I have the problem of duplicate filenames showing up in
the same directory, i.e.
% ls dir
dir:
file1.c file2.c file2.c file3.c
If I remove one reference to file2.c, the other one is still there, but it
now points to a non-existent inode.
I feel extremely gracious that my fileserver hasn't panicked.
