Your NetBSD box has a nameserver that doesn't support the obsolete
inverse query stuff. Only Sun nslookup uses it. Replace nslookup on
your sun with a fresh newly compiled one and life will be grand.

Probably the nameserver at that time was still compiled with INVQ
supported by default.
