Has anyone else had recent problems related to serial devices and i386?
Specificly modems dropping characters.  When using Kermit it connect to
my university's modem pool characters will randomly be lost and if I
press a key while there is incoming text all incoming text seems to get
truncated.  I supped the sources last night and rebuilt the kernel and
Kermit but I am still having the same problems.  Before about March 14 I
did not have the problem of losing characters but instead only the silo
messages.  The modem is an internal USR 28.8 and I started to experience
this problem about a month ago.
